Best Practice: Use Linkedin Wisely

Tips of how to use Linkedin as a Social Media to your benefit:
  • Create a profile for yourself that can serve as a Bio Page in your selling efforts
  • Pro-actively invite prospects and clients to be your contacts
  • Once your prospects and clients have accepted your invitation, farm their contacts for possible referral opportunities
  • Join groups that corresond to industries that you are targeting
  • Connect with Colleagues or other Members to enhance your "internal selling" efforts - Example: Network with Customer Service Personnel that can assist you in various areas
  • Opt out of auto-emails from discussion groups that drain your time
  • Do NOT waste time simply surfing linkedin for personal reason
  • Post thought-provoking, interesting, and pertinent discussions to be a magnet for comments by potential prospects
